I grabbed the ball and ran down court as fast as I could, hoping that THEIR team couldn't stop me. "Over THERE behind you!" My teammates yell towards me at THEY'RE transitioning from defense to offense. I shot the ball up with the quickness as I pulled back from a dribble and stared at the moving ball in the air as if my coach just told me, "Son YOU'RE getting a scholarship from UCLA for basketball." It felt like hours waiting for the ball to go in the net until I heard a swish from the corner of my ear. It was the last shot of the fourth quarter and I hit it. All my teammates come to me chanting,"You did it!" Five minutes later after all the compliments I hear the voice on the mic say, "The player of the game is Joseph Whitefield; YOUR team captain."
